What do agents look for in an athlete?
Sports agents are constantly on the lookout for athletes who not only have raw talent but also the potential to succeed both on and off the field (or court, track, etc.). Things that are looked at include talent and skill, personal brand, work ethic, commitment and character/integrity. An agent is more likely to work with an athlete who is respectful and willing to work with the agent.

Like any profession, sports agents are both highly ethical, trustworthy agents and those who may engage in questionable practices. Generally, they are expected to operate within legal and ethical boundaries, and therefore honesty and transparency is not only looked for, but is also desired.
