SHARKS RE-SIGN PROTHERO

Over the past few seasons, life at Sale has not been easy, injuries to key players and results not coming the way they’d like. That being said, there have been some positives coming out of the club, whether that being the likes of Eva Wood or Niamh Swailes being called up to the England U20’s or whether it being top individual moments, like Georgia Perry’s-Redding making that try saving tackle 2 seasons ago. But with the times changing at the club with new personnel, the club are now securing the futures of key players.

Nikita Prothero is the latest to sign a renewal at the club after a number of great performances in attack and defence. Wherever she has played, Nikita has always given 110% and helped her team in a number of key tackles. Playing predominantly at fullback, she has shown organisation and maturity in her role, helping the youngsters come up to the first team and is already putting in the work for the new season.

On a side note, a big congratulations to Nikita and the Sale Sharks who during the off-season took part in the Manchester Half marathon, raising money for charity.
